It is within walking distance of the rock climbing crags of Red Craig, and about one hour’s walk from the winter climbing areas of Winter Corrie and Corrie Fee. The accommodation comprises a common room in the original stone building, a kitchen in a side extension, and four bedrooms, three washrooms (all with a shower cubicle, and one equipped for disabled users), a members’ room, and a drying room in the wooden extension. The kitchen is equipped with two electric cookers (4-ring ceramic hobs with ovens below), two microwaves, two kettles, two toasters, a plumbed-in hot water dispenser, a large larder refrigerator, a large fridge-freezer and a wide range of utensils, crockery and cutlery. The common room has a woodburning stove. Other space heating, water heating and cooking is by electricity. The bedrooms are for 6, 6, 4 and 2 persons in two-tiered bunks and each with an individual bunk light. The members room contains four beds normally reserved for use by members even when the 18 bedroom places have been booked by non-members. The bunks are equipped with mattresses, mattress covers, pillows and ample blankets, but these must be used with sleeping bags or top sheets and pillowcases. Bedroom heating is by two-hour timer switches.

Dalwhinnie Old School Hostel is situated in the former village primary school and school house. Set in an acre of ground and directly opposite the train station, it is perfectly located as a base to climb the many Munros in the area, There is a well equipped kitchen and two common rooms.

Small and intimate, Ratagan Youth Hostel enjoys a stunning lochside location with views over the Five Sisters of Kintail. This warm and welcoming hostel offers a range of accommodation from private rooms to shared dorms all with USB charging points. The accommodation is split over two floors and none of the rooms are en-suite, but there are ample shower and washroom facilities available. WiFi access is free for all guests and other facilities include: a large well-equipped self-catering kitchen, a comfortable lounge with views over the Five Sisters of Kintail, a laundry, drying room, luggage store and secure bike shed. Basic provisions, including frozen ready meals, confectionery and soft drinks are available to purchase at reception.

We have booked the whole venue which accommodates 10 people. Part of a converted farm steading at the head of Loch Torridon, Mol Mor provides good quality, basic accommodation. The bunkhouse has three bedrooms with bunk beds (2 four-bedded and 1 two-bedded), as well as a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge/dining room with wood-burning stove, shower rooms, a laundry/boot room and oil-fired central heating. Special note: Guests are required to bring their own sleeping bags, but pillows and slips will be provided.

Waters Cottage, owned by the Fell & Rock Climbing Club forms an ideal base for walking or climbing in the Western Highlands with easy access to the Mamores, the Glen Coe hills and Ben Nevis. Waters Cottage was purchased by the FRCC in 1990 as a former police station (the ladies shower is now in the old cell). We have booked 10 spaces and the cottage has a total capacity of 28 beds. There are two kitchens and two lounges.
