7 members and 4 guests enjoyed using the hut this weekend. The weather was excellent and great days were had on the hill by all. On Saturday, Colin, Stewart, and Stewart's friend visiting for the day headed up Driesh and Mayar. Iain enjoyed a tramp to Loch Muick before heading back to Dundee for a charity ball. Jon and Katie were brewing up colds but the day was so good for walking that a wee stroll to Bachnagairn turned into Broad Cairn and Cairn Bannoch.
Stewart made the mistake of checking his email on the hill and had to head back early for work reasons. Colin also left on Saturday night in order to go sailing the next day. Fortunately reinforcements arrived later on Saturday night in the form of guests Fiona and Richard Maguire. Jon baked some apple crumble to celebrate.
On Sunday, the group walked back up Jock's road to Davy's Bourach. Heather Morning has left an interesting account in the hut of how this shelter saved her life in 2013. By the time we got back to the hut Moira and Tony Viveash had arrived and we had a nice catch up.
Looking forward to the Christmas meet already - fingers crossed we get such good weather again.
